Dan recently retired as a Police Detective after 20 years with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.  

While at the Sheriff’s Office he spent most of his career as a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division where he participated in a vast array of investigations from homicides, robberies, assaults, burglaries and property crimes.  Dan was also assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit for several years and was a member of the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s Taskforce in Syracuse, New York.  On the DEA taskforce he worked on many local, state and federal drug and conspiracy cases.  As a retired police officer, Dan is well versed in the latest tactics used by Police Investigators and Police Officers.  He spent time on the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force where he learned to track down and locate hard-to-find fugitives.  Also, as a member of the Sheriff’s SWAT he has several hours of experience conducting covert surveillance, tactical operations as well as personal security details for dignitaries, celebrities, and VIPs.  

During his career Dan attended numerous training schools, seminars, and exercises where he learned several investigation techniques and styles that can be deployed in any type of investigation. 

In the fall of 2020, immediately after leaving the Sheriff’s Office, Dan earned his Private Investigator’s License and founded Intrigue Investigations, now headquartered within the offices of CDH Law.  Since that time, he has specialized in criminal defense cases as well as Divorce and Custodial cases working every day alongside the Firm’s attorneys.
