Joshua specializes in civil litigation and is an experienced and accomplished medical malpractice and personal injury attorney.  He is Of Counsel to CDH Law and a founding partner of Gillette & Izzo Law.

Joshua focuses on the plaintiff’s medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and personal injury cases. He spent nearly a decade as an associate and partner with a defense firm focusing on the defense of physicians and other healthcare professionals.

He has extensive experience in cases involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, wrongful death and premises liability. He takes his experience having worked on both sides of civil litigation to fight for his current clients.

Joshua has tried cases for both defendants and plaintiffs in New York Courts and is admitted to practice before all New York State Courts and the Northern, Western, and Southern District Courts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Onondaga County Bar Association, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Joshua has also been admitted to practice in the United States Court of Federal Claims where he has represented plaintiffs in vaccine injury cases.

He has played an integral part in recovering over Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000.00) for his clients through settlements and verdicts.

Joshua has lectured at several continuing legal education programs on many civil litigation topics. He has lectured to physicians, nurses, and medical students on the topics of medical malpractice and disciplinary proceedings, including giving a presentation at the 43rd Annual Regional Perinatal Symposium. He has also written and presented on babies injured during labor and delivery and the Medical Indemnity Fund

Joshua has been selected to Super Lawyer’s Rising Star list for the past six years consecutively—in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. He was also selected to the National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 Civil Lawyers for the State of New York and the National Trial Lawyers – Medical Malpractice Top 25

Joshua is a member of the board of directors of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Pre-Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Second Major in Interdisciplinary Social Science with an Emphasis in Business from Michigan State University through its Honors College. Joshua then earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law.
